The Maintenance Plan, in Plain Numbers
Offers & OpeningsPro / Crew
When to use it: When you launch or re-open a maintenance plan — and once a year when you re-verify the math.
The structure
- Line 1: "Our [service] plan, in plain numbers:"
- Table-like lines: visits per year, what each visit includes, the per-visit breakdown of the price.
- Line: what the plan is NOT (no priority claims you cannot keep, no "free" repairs that are not).
- Line: how to leave the plan — the exit terms, in the post, not in fine print.
- Close: who it is genuinely not worth it for (the honest "skip it if…" line).
Guidance — read before you write
Plans live or die on the exit terms and the "not worth it" line — both signal you did the math for the customer's side too. Re-verify every number against your current rate card before reposting; a plan post with last year's prices is a promise you will have to argue about.
A worked example
"Our furnace plan, in plain numbers: $19/month. Two visits a year — fall tune-up and spring AC check — filters included, and plan members jump the no-heat queue in January (we hold two slots a day; that part is real). It is not repair insurance: parts are quoted before we touch them. Cancel anytime from your account page; unused visits refund pro-rata. Skip it if your system is under warranty service already — you would be paying twice."
