The Local Event Post

Community & CrewPro / Crew

When to use it: Around a real event in your town — fair, parade, school season, lake season.

The structure

  1. Line 1: tie your trade to the event honestly ("[Event] is this weekend. If you are hosting after, here is the 3-day version of getting the house ready:").
  2. Short list: the realistic prep for YOUR trade only, scaled to the days actually left.
  3. Line: your availability around the event, stated plainly (including if you are closed to enjoy it too).
  4. Close: one line of genuine goodwill toward the event.

Guidance — read before you write

Do not hijack every event — pick the ones your customers actually care about and where your trade honestly connects. If you are closed for the event, saying so cheerfully outperforms a fake hustle post.

A worked example

"Harborfest weekend is almost here. Hosting after the fireworks? The realistic 3-day version: mow and edge Thursday (it will not need it twice), patio wash Friday morning so it is dry by Saturday, and string lights last. We are closed Saturday to be down there ourselves — see you at the duck pond."
