Holiday Hours, Said Plainly
Seasonal & WeatherFree starter set
When to use it: One week before any holiday that changes your hours or response times.
The structure
- Line 1: "Our hours for [holiday week], no fine print:"
- List: day-by-day hours, including what "emergency only" actually means for your trade.
- Line: what counts as an emergency worth calling about, and what can wait until you reopen.
- Close: "Thanks for a good [season]. — [Owner/crew first names]"
Guidance — read before you write
Post the real hours, including the days you are simply closed. Customers forgive closed; they do not forgive a "24/7!" claim that rings out. If you do run emergency cover, name who is on call by first name — it makes the promise believable.
A worked example
"Thanksgiving week, no fine print: Mon–Wed normal hours. Thu–Fri closed — no routes, no cleanings. Sat: emergency calls only (no heat, burst pipe, lockout-level problems). If it drips, waits, or is cosmetic, it can wait for Monday and we will take good care of it then. Thanks for a good fall. — Dana & crew"
