The Heat Wave Check
Seasonal & WeatherPro / Crew
When to use it: Day one of a forecast heat wave (3+ days above 90°F / your local threshold).
The structure
- Line 1: "Three days over [temp] starting [day]. Your [system] is about to work its hardest week of the year."
- Line: the free check the owner can do in 5 minutes (filter, coil, vent — trade-specific).
- Line: the warning sign that means "call today, not after it quits."
- Close: your real availability this week, stated plainly.
Guidance — read before you write
This framework works because it teaches the free fix first. If the free check solves most problems, say so — the calls you do get will be the ones that genuinely need you, and the post builds the reputation that fills next month.
A worked example
"Three days over 92 starting Wednesday. Your AC is about to run its hardest week of the year. Five-minute check: pull the filter — if you can't see light through it, replace it before Wednesday. If the outside unit sounds like it is straining or the air coming out is merely cool, call today; that is a repair while it still runs, not a replacement after it quits. We have two tech slots Thursday — message us here."
